Description of Hoffritz HZEK1 Electric Knife with Two, Swiveling Blade Sets
Equipped with two sets of blades that swivel for either horizontal or vertical cutting, this powerful 150-watt electric knife adds versatility and convenience to a conventional electric knife's virtues. One blade set has small serrations for cutting all manner of food. The other has large serrations for slicing crusty bread and frozen food. Pushing a button on the power handle's snout permits the snout to be turned so the blades face downward for normal cutting or sideways for neatly slicing a cake into layers or a frozen block of hamburger. Because the snout swivels either to the right or to the left, and because the knife's power cord also swivels, this knife can be used with equal ease by both left-handers and right-handers. Like any electric knife, this model requires no knife skills to cut professional-looking slices, thick or thin, from roasts, ham, turkey, and bread. Grasping the power handle, pulling the trigger, and drawing the knife in a straight line allows the 8-inch blades, which saw back and forth at high speed, to do the work effortlessly and safely. The top-mounted handle--rubberized like the snout for nonslip comfort--permits the blades to slice straight down to the cutting surface.
